“Gorgeous ambiance and super relaxing.”

This spa is phenomenal! I planned a bachelorette party here, for a conservative Muslim bride, and was amazed by the respect and care taken, to ensure she felt comfortable throughout the day. Kathy, the spa owner, made sure that no men would be around the spa during our party so that the bride could take off her scarf and let down her hair. As soon as we walked through the doors, we were hit with that relaxing "spa smell" and everywhere we looked, there were candles! We were greeted by two, very sweet and welcoming, women at the front desk who took our coats and had us fill out some forms in a small waiting area. While we did that, the staff setup a small table for all of our party's treats and goodies in the nail area of the spa. After this, we were taken into the locker room to change in our robes and then given time to relax at our party table and in the lounge area (where there were additional treats to munch on). One by one, we were greeted by our treatment specialists and taken our separate ways for our treatments. The room where I had my massage was much more spacious than I expected because of its high ceiling. The massage itself was out-of-this-world! I felt completely relaxed didn't want it to end. After the massage, I joined the party in the nail spa area again and sometime later our nail treatments began. The manicures were great but what we really enjoyed were the large massage chairs we sat in for our pedicures! As our day came to an end, we were joined again by Kathy who took some great pictures of us and made sure that we had enjoyed everything. “The best skin spa in NYC.”

I had a facial here yesterday, my first visit since they moved into their new space. I always loved Ohm, and now it is even more amazing! The only downside before was their cozy but tight space. Now they have two large relaxation rooms (with the same awesome snacks), more treatment rooms, and expanded dressing areas. My facialist Gisella was excellent. She discussed products (various brands, some they carried and some they didn't) with me but didn't try to sell me on anything, and in fact gave me a few samples, which is different than most spas I have been to. I had a Divine Intervention facial, and felt so well-rested and looked 5 years younger afterwards! We met the one of the owners after we paid for our treatments. She was very informational about the products, and helped my friend select a few without being pushy. Ohm strikes the perfect balance of being knowledgeable & professional while still maintaining a personal touch. “Perfect massage/spa experience”

Ohm Spa 5 Star Review - Just had a perfect massage/spa experience from the moment I walked in the door. The person who greeted me was super friendly, the space looked and smelled great, and the facilities overall are super. The l locker area is clean, the waiting area with tea and different types of scented water is beautiful and very calming. Best of all, I had a really wonderful massage with Nickie. I have been suffering from neck pain for a couple of weeks and feel a lot better already. I chose the deep tissue massage, which was really intense (in a great way), and included hot scented pads on my neck and back. Happy Birthday Alison!

OHM spa is the best salon I have been to in NYC. The greatest thing about this spa is that it's owned and operating by a physical therapist, who personally trains all the massage therapists to treat clients in the best way possible. (How many day spas in NY can you say is operated by a PT and the staff is also trained by her??!) Ruth is an excellent massage therapist and it's obvious that the spa owner, Kathy, has trained her in trigger point and deep tissue techniques. I have scoliosis in my upper back and compartment syndrome in my left leg, and the continuous massage treatments have immensely helped my issues. Ohm is a hidden gem. Everything about this place is heavenly and decadent from the wonderful smells of Archipelago reed diffusers to the dark chocolate available in the waiting area. I have been a customer here since January and intend to continue going back, as long as I live in NY.Surprise Birthday Spa Party at Ohm Spa & Lounge

“Upscale without being pretentious”

I had never heard of Ohm Spa until my husband bought me a gift certificate. What a gem! As soon as you walk in to this intimate spa, you'll forget all your troubles and the stresses of the city. I've had massages and facials here and both were great. Gisela, my facialist, got my skin in great shape before my wedding. The massage therapists have always been kind and even showed me some yoga moves to help with my constant back pain. The space is beautiful and comfy and there is no sauna or steam room, so if that's a concern for you, you might want to try one of the larger chain spas. However, you'll give up that personal touch. I think Ohm Spa is a great small business to support.“Most importantly, the massage was great.”

Ohm is my oasis in the city. I've been to a couple of spas in town and can tell you that here, they give a reliably good massage. When on their game, some of my best massage experiences have been at Ohm. When you walk in, it feels like stepping into a nice, quiet zone. You get your robe and change. Then you can wait and snack on grapes, dark chocolate squares, crackers, cookies and drinks (water mostly). The rooms are spacious enough (that's a relative compliment in New York). They work hard to help you decompress. And I would honestly say, I've only had one experience where I left not fully satisfied. I think it says alot that I'm still going back there faithfully. Let's leave it at this. When a friend asks me where to get a massage, my first answer is always Ohm. To date, I've lost no friends because of Ohm. That's a pretty good track record.“Its worth every penny.”

Holiday Spa Party with Friends at Ohm Spa

I heart Ohm Spa. I have been to Spas from Rome to San Francisco and I always manage to come back here. I have received numerous treatments at Ohm Spa, over the past 5 years…prenatal massage, deep tissue massage and so on. As a Physical Therapist, I am very picky when on the receiving end of a massage, but the staff here is spot on. So much so, that I booked a couples massage for my in-laws and manage to tell anyone coming into town about this place. I love how Ohm Spa is a quiet retreat, that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. Whether I am there for an hour or an all day spa experience, I have always received the best treatment from the staff, who have managed to exceed my expectations every time I walk through the door. Kudos to the owners, for your excellent choice in massage therapists, estheticians, etc. Excellent Spa!

If you're like me, you've been sitting there trying to research the best spa in nyc for hours but have been repeatedly frustrated by mixed reviews. Well, look no more. This place is phenomenal. All the way around. Everything you would expect or hope for. I'm reluctant to review this place because I want to keep it a secret!! I was able to book a last minute 3-service spa day for my special lady ON Valentine's Day! including a couples massage as a small treat for myself :) It was wonderful--so fantastic. Will be back.
